england: part 3
Friday was the day that we switched to a different hostel. It was quite a bit further than the other hostel, and there wasn’t a close tube station near the hostel, so we had to take the tube and then take a bus to it. I was obsessed with this billboard for this movie because it has three of my lovers (actors), so I had to take a pic:
But it was still very cool! We roomed with a few...

england: part 2
The next day in England, Thursday, was our day to do all of our sightseeing on foot. We started right off the bat by walking to see Big Ben, which was only a 15 minute walk from our hostel. I can’t even describe how it felt to see him!! After seeing it so many times in movies and TV shows it was kinda surreal!
(The Gallagher pic that is always taken)
Next we walked towards St....

england: part 1
And so begins my posts about visiting England!
We (Sarah, Fadya and I) left last Tuesday night with a 5:30 flight, and touched down in London at around 6:45. Customs took a while to go through once we reached London, but we managed to make our bus that would take us to downtown London with about 5 minutes to spare! Very lucky. So we made it to Liverpool Street Station in around 45 minutes,...

Carnevale di Venezia
This weekend, I spent 2 beautiful days exploring the streets of Venezia during Carnevale. It was so beautiful! Above is the view basically right after I got off the train, on the giant bridge next to the train station.
There is the bridge! So on Saturday, only Jennie, Sarah & I went early together to get a feel of Carnevale by ourselves for the first day. It was soo much fun....

Carnevale di Verona
Today marks the official beginning of Carnevale in Verona. Carnevale is kinda like Mardi Gras in New Orleans: drinking, confetti, dressing up…. and of course partying. Today’s class ending an hour and 15 minutes early so we could go as a class to see the parade. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. I mean, of course I expected it to be fun, but this parade was much more exciting than most parades...

the neverending adventure!
(disclaimer: this post will be longgg. but sooo worth it to read :)
This weekend was a spectacular adventure. Even though it lasted a little (and by a little I mean a lot) longer than it should have, it really was a very good weekend overall.
It started out by Alyssa, Laila and I getting to the Verona train station at 6:30 am in order to find a train to get to Florence. This turned out to be a...

giorno di frutta!!
for once, the shoe shopping game went EXTREMELY well. as most will know who are on this trip with me, i have only been wearing one pair of shoes. this is because, for some crazy reason, i decided to listen to the packing list that they gave us from the university. BAD IDEA. BAD. now i have none shoes, unless you count rain boots, my gym shoes, and my brown shoes. ugh.
